Ceramic substrates are a new type of product that uses new ceramic materials. Previously, due to technical reasons, high thermal conductivity aluminum nitride ceramic substrates were not widely available in China, and a small number of top manufacturers used imported ceramic substrates. Due to price reasons, it cannot be effectively utilized. The outbreak in 2017 was entirely due to the technological breakthroughs made by domestic ceramic substrate manufacturers, led by Sliton, who successfully mass-produced aluminum nitride ceramic substrates. Domestic ceramic substrates can be priced at half the cost compared to imported ones, which is one of the main reasons for the sudden outbreak of high-power LEDs in China.

 

 

 

Ceramic substrates are favored by a large number of LED manufacturers for a reason. Its advantage lies in the application of special ceramics as a new material field. The most commonly used materials are aluminum oxide ceramics and aluminum nitride ceramics. The use of aluminum oxide ceramic substrates has been very mature, and the use of aluminum nitride ceramic substrates has been hindered due to price factors, but these obstacles are no longer obstacles.

 

 

 

The thermal conductivity of aluminum nitride ceramic substrate ranges from 270-320W/(m · K), which is close to one hundred times the thermal conductivity of metal substrate, and is sufficient to achieve perfect heat dissipation effect for LED street lamps. With the rise of domestic ceramic substrates and the technological development of LED manufacturers, China's LED industry is bound to reach the pinnacle of the world.
